Almost 2 years 7 months

finally found some time to write something on the blog again.

This month we went out with the car quite a few times. First of all we went to Mechernich to meet Angelika and her dogs (My mother Mei-Mei, My sister Enya and the male dog Daron). We went to see Angelika again, but of course we wanted to see Enya's puppies as wel. After a (as usual) warm welcome, boss and Misses could see the pups, but i had to stay outsite. Enya would not let me in, she was protecting her pups... Anyway, boss told me the F-litter was great. All big and healthy Eurasier pups. Afterwards we went to the garden and the people had their obligatory "kaffee und kuche". We also went on a weekend trip to Malmedy with the colleagues of Boss. A whole weekend showing these people how beautifull i am, that was great. Everybody loved me and i was petted more than ever before. If one of them stopped petting, i went to another one. We also had a great walk. At the end of the weekend i was exhausted. I missed my little sleeping moments during the day...

Not yet finished! We also went to Ninove to see the Belgian pups. (10 of them !!)There i could enter the room and see the pups. They are already 7 weeks old, almost ready to leave their mom and to join their new owners. Thanks to MT & Anneleen for the great welcome. Another great activity. The yearly eruasier BBQ. Normally we go to a farm in the Netherlands, but this year, this was not possible. So boss decided to organise the bbq in our dog school. See the picture below to have an impression.
There were a lot of male dogs, so boss had to keep an eye on me. Strange, all other eurasiers are best friends, but I have a lot of problems with the other males. So from time to time boss took me away from the others.

We also went on vacation to Laforet. Boss rented a little house for a week. Very beautiful region. Only forest and a river (the semois) around us. We walked and walked and walked, i had a good time. Me and boss even went canoeing on the semois. This was not easy. Me in the Canoe, Boss in the canoe, me out of the Canoe.... And this 10 times. But  once we could start, all went fine. If you look very good at the pictures, you can find me in the boat, but you have to look very carefully.

And we received great news from Mechernich. Angelika has a new litter! next week we go to germany to visit her and see the puppies!

2 years 5 months

Long time since i posted some news. All is well here. My chemical castration is no longer working, so I'm fully functional again. All bitches, be aware of this!
Meanwhile not a lot of things happened. School is not open for the moment, and a lot of people are on vacation. Boss is not. He still has to work for two weeks. But then he will have lots and lots of time to walk and play with me.
Och wait, i have some news. Boss has learned me how to run next to his bicycle. I will ask him to post a photo. That's  fun, and even better, now we can go a little further away from home, so i can walk in other parks and see a lot of other things. But he still has to pay attention. When i see a cat or another dog, i cannot really control myself. I want to go and say hello to them. So from time to time you see the bike going from one side of the street to the other side. Pretty dangerous don't you think? I think i will have to be a little more relaxed when I'm next to the bike :)

2 Years 2 months (still)

We went to  the Olmense Zoo with the ECB. Again a great event. At the start of the day, I was pretty relaxed, but you know me, the longer the day lasts, the more excited I become. By the end of the day, no other male eurasier was save anymore.

2 years and 2 month

Just home from Germany. Angelika has organized the second von der Linde wurftreffen! We were all present: mother Mei daughters Enya, Estrella, Elaine,  Engy and son Eros. Father Balu also planned to participate, but his boss is very ill, so he was not present. We all wish all the best to his boss!

Weather was not very good, but we are the von der Linde E-litter, this does not stop us.

Angelika again opened her house for us, so we all could stay there for the weekend.

Due to the weather, the BBQ was canceled, but our breeder was prepared, she made a delicious meal for us and we have enjoyed it inside her big house.

But now I'm going too fast. Let me give you a chronicle overview of the weekend.

On Friday we arrived in Mechernich around 17h00. Angelika gave us a warm welcome (as always) and we could install us in her "little" vacation house. I went for a walk in the Eiffel with boss and then the Belgian beer came on the table. Boss planned to eat spaghetti in the evening, but once the booze is in the (wo)man, they seem to forget a lot of things. So this time, they forgot to eat their super. Meanwhile Estrella arrived from Switzerland. They drove for 7 hours  to be there, great! Around 01h00 we went to bed.

On Saturday, we had breakfast and a morning walk, and boss and mistress finally ate the spaghetti.

In the afternoon, all other e-litter members arrived around 14h00. Some other eurasier friends also joined the meeting. A good walk all together in the beautiful Eiffel was followed by "kaffee und kuchen". Afterwards we went in the garden to play a little bit. In the evening we enjoyed super all together.

On Sunday, most of the gang went home pretty early, but I and Engy stayed to have a walk with Enya, Mei, Daron and the little Raya. After the obligatory kaffee und kuchen, we went home.

2 years and 1 month

We went to Bazel (no, not in Switzerland) with the Ecb. Afterwards there was a meeting to elect the board again. Boring stuff. So i decide to have a little fight with another male eurasier. result : boss left the meeting and we went for another walk. Mission accomplished!

Still 23 months

So we went on a weekend with the ECB to Xhoffraix. it was very cold (at night -17 degrees!), but this has never stopped us before. We walked al lot (25 km) and I had a very good time outside. but inside the house, i made war with the other male eurasiers, so boss decided from time to time to put me in the bedroom. Not funny! 23 months, up to my second birthday

here I'm again. a lot of news, not all good.... Let's start with the bad things
I had some problems when i had to stay at home. Strange, before i was never afraid, but now, i panic when everybody is leaving. Boss tried to find an explanation, but this is really not easy. everybody has helped with advice, but it's still boss who has to make decision. So, for the moment I'm chemically castrated (will last for a month). This seems to solve a lot of problems, but not all of them. We will have to wait for some time...
But let's talk about the more funny things. Last weekend we went for a walk with the E.C.B. This time it was not a long drive. First we (well we, all humans), had breakfast, and then we could start. You can see some pictures below (click on the picture to see more)

And next weekend, we go to Xhoffraix for three days. Again with E.C.B. This is not far from the place i was born and guess what, Angelika will join us there together with my mother and sister. Great, can't wait to see them again.

22 months almost Christmas

Almost Christmas, time for some pictures. At school we had to work in the snow. Not easy to be focused, but on the pictures below you can see I managed to keep quiet long enough to make some photo's.

21 months

Yesterday we (again) went for a walk with the "Eurasier Club Belgie". This time we went to Heusden-Zolder. Weather was not very good (some rain), but this never stopped us before. Luckily for Boss only one other male dog was present, so even his walk was more relaxed than usually. Limburg is really a nice place to walk. After the (long) walk, we went to a pub to eat and drink, well let's say the humans were eating and drinking, the dogs were just laying down and resting, dreaming of the great day we had..

20 months

Long time since I posted something here. All is well. Meanwhile we went for a walk to Herentals with the E.C.B. Great walk, but a lot of male dogs. This means a lot of growls and from time to time a real fight. (Not only me, but I did my best!).

Last week Alexa and her bosses came to visit me at my home. This was no problem (she's female, and this is the kind of dog I like). We played a lot and bosses ate and talked a lot. Karine and Carl tried to tell us my behavior is normal for a male of my age, but misses is still not convinced.

Yesterday, i was at home with misses, but she was not paying attention. The door was open and I escaped. Misses has searched for me during almost 1 hour. I was not far away, but I managed to enter the the garden of our neighbours and I could not find the way out. So misses was searching the neighbourhood while I was just next door enjoying the garden :-) Anyway, once they found me, misses was not very pleased.

19 months

We went to "De Haan" with the eaursier club. More than 2000 dogs (not all eurasiers of course) on the beach. See picture below.

19 months (almost)

First of all we went to the eurasier BBQ. This was not really a success. I fought with all male eurasiers. Boss was really not amused.

We also went on vacation to Voeren. A beautiful environment. No traffic and a lot of nature. We walked and walked and walked. At the evenings i was tired and boss was exhausted. Real fun.

Afterwards we have visited my mother and sister in Germany. For the first time since i left there, my mother asked to play with her. Great. With my sister Enya all is well and we are still good friends.

After this short visit we went to Stadkyll with colleagues of boss. Forty people who loved my and were begging to pet me. Great.

Meanwhile all medical tests are done. My eyes, knees and blood are perfect. The HD test was also done, the vet told us everything looks good, but to know what rate i have, the EKW has to examine the photos. They refuse to examine them because the picture are digital instead of analogue. Boss is not happy and he told me if these pictures are not good, he will not anesthetize me again. This means my medical file is not complete and i will never be allowed to breed.

 

18 months

Two months without posting any news, my boss is negligent. Meanwhile I became 18months and some things happened.

First of all we went to a meeting: “plush puppy day”. There were a lot of different dogs present, and the ECB was well represented.

Some days ago we went to the vet again. Boss has promised to Angelica we would do some medical tests, and now was a good time to do this. They tested my eyes, my knees, my hips and took some blood. No fun at all! They put some needles in my legs and suddenly I felt very tired. When I woke up, boss was still there and the world looked really strange. I could not walk straight forward! Boss told me I was drunk, but I only drink water!

Not all result are known for the moment. My eyes are ok, my knees are ok, the vet told us the hips are looking fine, but real results have to measured by the EKW. My blood is on the way to the lab, so we have to wait for the results.

Next week we (Boss, misses and me) go to Voeren and afterwards we will visit Angelica and my mother in Germany. Great to meet them from time to time.

16 months

Today we had an obedience competition in the doggy school. I think i did very well! Third place is not that bad... Boss always tells other people there were only three participants, but this is not important :-).
Anyway, we spend a nice afternoon and i'm still bosses best friend.

16 months

Again a walk with the ECB. This time in Westmalle. Boss tasted all good thing they make over there. I played with my friends during the walk. But once we stopped walking and we all went on the leash, my behaviour changed completely. No longer the friendly Eros, but an Eros growling and intimidating all other male dogs. Boss did not like it, but i have to show these other male dogs i'm Eros the macho man. Below some picture, to see more, just click on the first one.

20110612 Eurasier Wandeling Westmalle

15 months

Last Sunday we went for a walk with the ECB again. This time it was in Essene, near Brussels. At 10 o'clock we came together. 19 dogs where present, not all eurasier but most of my friends where present again. Only Djentl was missing. He was probably busy doing other things. The walk was great, a lot of places without leach. Half way we stopped for a drink, and you never guess what i did there!. Boss was enjoying his beer, and mistress went to the toilet. Boss was not paying attention, I followed mistress (a little too excited I think) and I pulled boss out of his chair into the ground. Everybody was laughing except one person : Boss. He was a little angry, but this passed by pretty fast. Afterwards we continued the walk. Again a beautiful day.

20110515 Eurasier Wandeling Essene

14 months

We went to Mechernich to have the First “wurftreffen” of the von der Linde E-litter. Angelika has a vacation home, so we arrived on Friday and could stay there until Saturday evening. It was beautiful whether! On Friday we met Mei Mei (my mother) and Enya (my sister). We also met Daron, the male eurasier living with Angelika. Me and Daron don’t like each other. We went for a little walk and then my bosses and the family of Angelika tasted some Belgian beer. The more they tasted, the better they understood each other.


On Saturday the other members of the litter arrived. Engy and Elaine were there. Estrella could not participate. Later on an aunt of us, Malou, arrived also together with another eurasier. First we took some time to say hello to each other, but soon we started for a walk in the Eifel. This was a lot of fun, 100 meters on the leach and then they released us. All went fine, and I was pretty proud to run between my family. Me as only male dog between all these females.

Great! After the walk we had (of course) “kaffee und kuchen”. My sisters could run freely in the garden, but I had to stay on the leach. (Daron was there remember). This was not that bad, the female dogs came from time to time to play with me. After the coffee we played a “wezentest” and a “showing scenario”. We all did very good!

Then the husband of Angelika started up the BBQ. We ate together and then boss said we had to leave.

Conclusion : a great wurftreffen, next year we will participate again!
Many thanks to Angelika to bring us together. The von der Linde E-litter is a great litter.

20110423 Wurftreffen

13 months and 3 weeks

Me and boss went to the club championship in my school. For some exercices i performed very well, for others i did not. But it was a lot of fun and even if i missed a few commands, nobody really grumbled. Weather was fine and everybody was in a good mood.

So far so good, but this was enough, now i do my own thing, Boss can come and get me!

Hi, not a lot of news. Just a new picture.
Angelica is planning a "wurftreffen" around easter. I will see some (or all) of my sisters again. i will ask boss to make some pictures.

1 Year 3 weeks

We went to Bazel with the ECB. Again i met some of my friends, and again i met some new friends. There are not that many of my kind in Belgium, but each time we come together i meet new dogs.
I met Gentl, this is my best Eurasier friend.
I met Aiko, with him i had some problems before, but this time everything went fine.
I met Igor, this is not that easy, we will need some more time.
I met Life and Hope, Hope is my best femal friend. I would like to make some little eurasiers with her, but boss does not agree. When he's not looking, i'm trying anyway.....
I met a lot of other eurasiers, i will probably talk about them next time.
After the walk there was a meeting. People were talking about the future of the ECB. Boring!!!!

1 Year

Time goes fast! 1 year ago i was struggling to see the real world, now i'm a very confident eurasier. I received birthday wishes from some of my sisters. Angelika is preparing a "wurftreffen". Will be lots of fun meeting my sisters again.

Last weekend, we went to Xhoffraix with the Belgium eurasier club. 18 people with 14 dogs. a lot of fun! I met some dogs i already saw, but i also met some new friends. With older dogs everything went fine, i have learned to show them some respect, but there was also another mail dog, a little younger than myself, and this was not that easy. We growled and fought occasionally, but no real harm has been done. Our bosses were fast enough to intervene.
We also met Beve vom Koppin Kallio and Bine von der Vennheide. They are the dogs owned by Frau Erika Ferdinand. She is the one who takes care of the German "Welpenvermittlung".
Boss did not take pictures, he was too busy walking with me. And we walked a lot. Friday evening, saturday morning, saturday in the afternoon and sunday morning. We must have something like 40 km on our counter, and these km were all in the Belgium mountains!

11 months

Hoi, 11 months old and everything is fine. The Christmas tree is gone, the snow is gone (that's a pity). This means me and boss went to school again. First thing i did there : pee on the grass. Boss was not amused! Meanwhile i start looking as a grown up eurasier, just check the photo's. I'm 57 cm tall and my weight is 23 kg. So, hope to meet you all again in a month, 21 Feb is my birthday!
Yesterday we went for a walk with the Belgium Eurasier club to Kluisbergen. We could run free almost the whole walk. Great, but a little dirty also. See below some pictures of me and my friends. I have to be carefull with Phoenix (the white one). He is the alfa dog and he likes to show this....
